Job summary

Vallum Associates seeks an experienced Solution Architect to lead the Home Lending Data Modernization Program, building a scalable cloud data ecosystem to support FR Y-14M reporting, analytics and governance. You will shape the target architecture and guide cross-functional teams.

The role requires 12+ years in data and integration, deep GCP/BigQuery experience, and hands-on coding with Python, SQL and Spark.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in Data / Integration / Solution Architecture.
• Strong experience with GCP & BigQuery.
• Hands-on architecture experience with Python, PySpark, SQL, Spark and Data Warehousing.
• Strong understanding of Batch, CDC, Streaming, Event-Driven Architecture and REST APIs.
• Experience modernizing Ab Initio, SAS and Teradata.
• Strong expertise in Data Lineage, Metadata, Data Quality and Data Governance.

Responsibilities

• Define the target-state architecture for the Home Lending data ecosystem.
• Define the Home Lending data model across origination, servicing, and loan performance.
• Lead cloud modernization and legacy migration efforts.
• Define architecture using GCP, BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Cloud Composer.
• Establish data lineage, metadata, governance and data quality frameworks.
• Design automated controls, reconciliation and validation processes.
• Provide architectural leadership across Data Engineering, Regulatory Reporting and Governance teams.

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to lead a strategic Home Lending Data Modernization Program, focused on building a scalable cloud data ecosystem supporting FR Y-14M regulatory reporting, enterprise analytics and data governance.

Key Responsibilities:

• target-state solution architecture for the Home Lending data ecosystem
• Define the Home Lending enterprise data model across mortgage origination, servicing, loan performance, customer, property, collateral and delinquency
• Lead cloud modernization and legacy migration initiatives
• Define architecture across GCP, BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc and Cloud Composer
• Establish data lineage, metadata, governance and data quality frameworks
• Design automated controls, reconciliation and validation processes
• Provide architectural leadership across Data Engineering, Regulatory Reporting, Governance, Risk and Business teams

Key Requirements:

• 12+ years in Data / Integration / Solution Architecture
• Strong experience with GCP & BigQuery
• Hands-on architecture experience with Python, PySpark, SQL, Spark and Data Warehousing
• Strong understanding of Batch, CDC, Streaming, Event-Driven Architecture and REST APIs

Preferred: TOGAF, Google Cloud Professional Architect certification, Data Mesh / Lakehouse experience.
