Job summary

Dark Wolf is seeking a Data & AI Engineer focused on Google Cloud to architect, deploy, and scale data, ML and generative AI workflows in secure cloud environments. You will lead architectural development, scale data platforms, and enforce zero-trust security across air-gapped and multi-cloud networks.

You will design ETL/ELT pipelines with GCP tools, manage big data processing with Spark/Flink, and collaborate in a fast-paced Agile team while mentoring staff and staying current with GCP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of data engineering experience.
• 4+ years of architecting data structures for model grounding and pipelines.
• 4+ years of Python, Scala, SQL, and Go.
• 4+ years of distributed systems internals, LMS trees, column-family stores, and data warehouse/lakehouse formats.
• 4+ years of Kubernetes cluster management and service mesh integration.
• 4+ years of enterprise data strategy, data modeling, and streaming data contracts.
• 4+ years of experience on GCP supporting AI/ML research, experimentation, and production delivery.
• Experience with Spark, Flink, Kafka, Ray, and orchestration engines.
• GCP security/compliance products; multi-cloud/hybrid deployments.
• Strong communication and teamwork; US Citizenship with active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and implementation of cloud-native distributed data platforms.
• Optimize distributed execution engines for petabyte-scale data under tight SLAs.
• Implement IaC to provision data platform assets across multi-cloud infrastructure.
• Establish zero-trust security, data lineage, and automated compliance scanning.
• Design and manage ETL/ELT pipelines using Google services like Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Cloud Run, BigQuery.
• Architect large-scale datasets and cloud data warehouses with BigQuery and Knowledge Catalog.
• Connect to APIs and build automation scripts for data servicing needs.
• Configure GCP services like Compute Engine, App Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud SQL.
• Mentor data engineering staff and drive Agile deliverables.
