Job summary

Apptad Inc seeks a Cloud Operations Engineer to provide operational support for enterprise cloud environments with a primary focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will be the first point of engagement for cloud incidents, operational events, and service requests, ensuring ITIL-aligned service delivery.

The role requires hands-on experience with GCP services, Linux administration, basic networking, and automation tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Cloud Operations, Infrastructure Operations, NOC, IT Operations, SRE Operations, or Cloud Support environments.
• Experience with GCP Compute Engine, IAM, VPC, DNS, Storage, Load Balancing, VPN, and Logging services.
• Familiarity with incident management, change reviews, and service request handling in ITIL-aligned environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cloud infrastructure and respond to incidents and events using enterprise monitoring tools.
• Perform L1 and L2 incident triage, troubleshooting, and remediation.
• Manage incidents, requests, and operational tasks through ServiceNow.
• Support GCP services including Compute Engine, IAM, VPC, DNS, Storage, Load Balancing, VPN, and Logging.
• Participate in major incident bridges and war rooms.
• Execute runbook-driven operational activities and health checks.
• Support change reviews, risk assessments, and validation of operational changes.
• Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
