Job summary

LightFeather is seeking a GCP Cloud/DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure in a high-security government environment. The role emphasizes IaC, cloud security, networking, and CI/CD within GCP.

This in-person, full-time position requires U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure FedRAMP/NIST compliance, and drive automation and cloud optimization across projects.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of cloud engineering experience.
• At least 2 years of hands-on GCP experience.
• Experience with IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Deployment Manager.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, Cloud Build).
• Strong Linux, networking, and containerization skills.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage secure and scalable cloud infrastructure using GCP.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar tools.
• Support CI/CD pipeline automation, integration, and management.
• Collaborate with software engineers, security personnel, and government stakeholders to support development and deployment workflows.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure cloud services meet SLAs.
• Implement cloud best practices and ensure compliance with federal security standards (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST).
• Provide documentation and knowledge sharing with the broader engineering team.
