Our client is seeking a GCP Architect for a long-term project, fully remote. Below are the detailed requirements.

Job Title: GCP Architect

Location: 100% Remote

Duration: Long-term

Must have: GCP Certification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with minimum 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure GCP-based solutions to meet clients' business requirements.
• Advising clients on best practices and optimal use of GCP services and features.
• Building and maintaining GCP infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage, and networking components.
• Automating deployment and management of GCP resources using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting GCP infrastructure, applications, and services.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement end-to-end solutions leveraging GCP services.
• Staying updated with GCP offerings and new features, and recommending improvements.
• Ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
• Developing and maintaining documentation related to GCP architecture, configurations, and processes.
• Knowledge and experience with Google Cloud Platform, including compute, storage, network, and database solutions.
• Strong analytical skills to understand business and technical requirements and propose appropriate GCP solutions.
• Experience in creating technical design and architecture documents, and working with review boards for design approval.
• Strong experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) for hosting containerized workloads at scale with high availability.
• Experience in GKE cluster sizing, network configurations, and security controls.
• Ability to create and customize Kubernetes manifests for deployments, services, and ingress objects.
• Experience with Microservices deployments using Istio or similar service meshes.
• Knowledge of designing CICD pipelines using GCP DevOps tools and third-party tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitHub, Travis CI.
• Experience with Cloud Operations suite, including implementing Cloud Monitoring and Logging.
• Experience in implementing Cloud IAM with principle of least privilege, and security hardening in line with CIS and NIST standards.
• Experience provisioning GCP infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, preferably with Terraform.
• Experience with GCP managed databases and storage solutions like Cloud SQL, Firestore, and Cloud Storage buckets.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
• Strong industry knowledge to understand customer needs, address concerns, and pay high attention to detail.
