Overview

Application Architect with a strong background in data management to design and implement effective software application systems, focusing on performance and cost optimization. This role involves setting the strategy and architecture for the application environment and leading data initiatives on GCP with Postgres SQL.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and Develop Applications: Create and maintain software application architectures that meet business requirements.
2. Data Management: Lead data modelling, data integration, and data governance efforts to ensure data quality and consistency.
3. Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, software developers, and IT teams to plan and execute projects.
4. System Integration: Ensure the compatibility and integration of software components and data systems.
5. Performance and Quality: Monitor and enhance the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
6. Documentation: Develop and maintain architecture models, documentation, and guidelines.
7. Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve application and data issues promptly.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in modern data processing technologies, data modelling, application development frameworks, programming knowledge, OOP concepts, RDBMS, agile development methodologies, and data orchestration tools.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and any programming background.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Expertise in database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and Cache DB.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
• Proficiency in front-end and back-end frameworks (React, Angular, Node.js).
• Knowledge of security best practices (IAM, encryption, firewalls).

Qualifications & Compensation

Bachelor's Degree required. Expected annual pay ranges from $163,000 to $227,000, including benefits such as medical, dental, disability insurance, paid time off, and other leave options.
