GCO Senior Risk Advisory Manager I (Enterprise Wholesale & Wealth Technology)

This role is responsible for ensuring a strong first line of defense in risk management for the Enterprise Payments and Wholesale Technology team. It offers an opportunity to leverage extensive technology and risk management experience to align activities with sound risk practices and the Truist Risk Appetite Framework.

The position involves collaboration across organizational levels to promote risk program compliance and strengthen controls to prevent issues. Key responsibilities include assessing material risks, escalating concerns, and supporting risk mitigation strategies.

The ideal candidate will have a background in banking technology, with a solid understanding of risk management processes, including regulatory engagement, issue management, and control development. Demonstrated judgment, relationship skills, and a risk-focused mindset are essential.

Essential functions include:

  1. Engaging in proactive risk management activities with business lines.
  2. Leading a team of risk advisors to execute operational and enterprise risk programs.
  3. Supporting leadership in risk identification, assessment, and control of business processes.
  4. Overseeing risk aspects of change initiatives and regulatory issues.
  5. Communicating risk activities and promoting risk initiatives within the organization.
  6. Collaborating with the GCO Risk Program team to implement risk policies.
  7. Developing and mentoring risk advisor team members.

Required qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
  • At least seven years of risk management experience in financial services.
  • Five years of leadership experience.
  • Expertise in banking technology and risk processes.
  • Strong communication, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
