Job Description:

Our Global Corporate & Investment Banking business focuses on building long-term relationships with more than 12,000 large U.S. and multinational corporations, financial institutions and financial sponsors. We provide strategic mergers and acquisitions advisory, corporate banking, treasury, debt and equity capital markets expertise to deliver integrated financial solutions. The industry groups within GCIB advise both corporate and financial sponsor clients within the Consumer & Retail, Healthcare, Financial Institutions, Industrials, Natural Resources, Real Estate & Lodging, Telecommunications, Media and Technology sectors.

Job Overview

The Associate partners closely with team members across GCIB and works directly for the central COO team, focusing on driving productivity, business analysis and initiatives to help lead and manage the global business. Some key areas of focus include leveraging data and data visualization tools such as Alteryx and Tableau to assist business strategy and planning, client franchise analyses, business and banker performance measurement, competitor benchmarking and initiative tracking.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Generate performance reports focused on driving business and team results
2. Assist with investment banking fee analyses
3. Prepare weekly and monthly reporting using Excel, Alteryx and Tableau
4. Perform comprehensive client planning, competitor and financial industry benchmark research
5. Assist in creating business presentations on strategy, business performance, planning initiatives and other materials for internal and external audiences
6. Communicate and interact with team members across COO teams, finance, personnel, and technology
7. Assist with a variety of ad hoc assignments, typically with time constraints

Qualifications

1. Seeking an ambitious, independent, and hardworking candidate with an interest in the Financial Services sector.
2. An ideal candidate would have 3+ years of financial, operations, and general business support experience in the corporate & investment banking business, though lack of experience is not a barrier to a candidate who proves willing to put in the effort to learn quickly.
3. Bachelor’s degree is required and some financial background is helpful.
4. Intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint experience is essential in the role.
5. For some groups, the position involves macro usage to perform reporting tasks and knowledge of Tableau, Alteryx, SQL and VBA is required.

Candidates must demonstrate a combination of business aptitude, quantitative skills and strong written and verbal communication skills. Business Associates/Analysts are required to manage several projects at once and work effectively as an individual and as part of a team.

US - NY - New York - ONE BRYANT PARK - BANK OF AMERICA TOWER (NY1100) Pay range $95,000.00 - $100,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set. Discretionary incentive eligible. This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
