Job Description

Global Corporate & Investment Banking (GCIB) is enhancing its data management capabilities, including executing a strong data architecture program. This role will be pivotal in driving these enhancements and their ongoing sustainment. It requires a strategic approach to managing risk and business enablement priorities from a data perspective, partnering with stakeholders in GCIB and across the enterprise to ensure regulatory adherence, strengthen data architecture and privacy frameworks, enhance operational excellence, and meet GCIB's goal to be best-in-class.

The role covers key data management pillars such as policy/standards adherence, implementing a balanced data strategy, developing and governing data domains, designing controls, and supporting GCIB leadership in decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Partner with the Data Strategy & Management Executive (DSME) to design GCIB data strategy and initiatives, and execute programs for successful implementation and sustainability.
  2. Translate GCIB's data strategy into actionable plans, oversee their execution, and adapt strategies based on priorities.
  3. Design and implement GCIB's MNPI adherence strategy across processes and platforms.
  4. Document and oversee the data architecture oversight process and related control areas.
  5. Develop and maintain GCIB's data architecture, ensuring policy compliance.
  6. Engage regularly with stakeholders from data domains to review impacts on GCIB data.
  7. Implement and review the golden source structure for GCIB deal data and related registry needs.
  8. Participate in annual funding cycles for initiatives and regulatory compliance, prioritizing data strategy needs.
  9. Engage in audits, regulatory exams, and assessments as required.
  10. Ensure compliance with policies and standards, maintaining evidence thereof.
  11. Coordinate with GCIB product areas to align on new data domains, sources, and controls.
  12. Establish a structured review process for GCIB procedures to ensure adherence to data architecture strategy.
  13. Escalate risks, partner with stakeholders, and develop mitigation strategies for program success.
  14. Build strong relationships to navigate organizational complexities, gain buy-in, and resolve conflicts.
  15. Lead and develop a high-performing, cross-regional team aligned with BofA's core values and GCIB's goals.
Key Requirements
  • Experience in similar roles with cross-regional team management.
  • 20+ years in strategic risk program governance (preferred).
  • Experience with global data issues and regulations.
  • Understanding of GCIB's business and products, with ownership of delivery.
  • Strong leadership and results-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex concepts for executives.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities with high accuracy.
  • Passion for fostering collaboration and teamwork.
  • Independent operation and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  • Control-focused mindset with good understanding of regulatory and reputational risks.

Pay Transparency

US - NJ - Jersey City: $225,000 - $400,000 annual salary, based on experience, education, and skills. Discretionary incentive eligible. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on performance and company success.
