Job summary

Gartner is seeking an experienced analyst to advise General Counsel and assurance leaders with must-have research and executive insights. You will engage with clients daily, build cross-functional content, and represent Gartner at events, shaping governance, risk management, and the legal function of the future.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant experience, including experience working as a corporate in-house lawyer.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• JD degree strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience presenting to the board, leading and/or coordinating risk management efforts, developing function strategy, and building talent and relationships across the organization.
• Knowledge of and experience working as a GC or in a similar role (AGC/DGC).
• Experience and interest in advising, presenting to, and writing for the most senior levels of an organization (e.g., CEO, GC, Board of Directors, Chief Audit Executives, Head of Risk/ERM, Chief Compliance & Ethics Officer)
• Demonstrate executive presence; with the ability to establish credibility with executives and additional stakeholders.
• High learning agility and comfort navigating highly matrixed, fast-changing environments.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to various audiences and influence at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients daily via phone, videoconferences, or Gartner events to produce actionable research.
• Provide guidance on board governance, risk management, and the future of the legal function.
• Stay ahead on M&A trends and regulatory developments by benchmarking against broader markets.
• Support Gartner’s commercial team by portraying market insights to prospects.
• Collaborate with other analysts to create content that advances client priorities.
• Offer peer review on research and represent Gartner insights credibly.
• Develop high-value presentation materials for events and client briefings.
