Job summary

Guitar Center in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Sr. Sales Associate who thrives in a fast-paced music retail environment and leads by example to deliver memorable shopping experiences. You will drive sales, engage customers, and mentor teammates to build a cohesive, band-like team.

Bring your passion for music, proven sales success, and strong communication. You’ll help customers select gear, maintain presentation standards, and support leadership with openings/closings as needed.

• Experience in retail sales with targets met or exceeded.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for music and gear knowledge.

• Willing to work nights/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Customer Engagement: Create a welcoming environment where customers feel inspired to explore their musical passions and help them find the perfect gear.
• Sales and Revenue Generation: Achieve and exceed sales targets with flair; upsell and cross-sell to complete their musical setups.
• Product Knowledge: Maintain expert-level knowledge of gear from guitars to recording equipment and share that knowledge with customers and teammates.
• Customer Relationship Building: Grow your fanbase and foster relations within the local music community.
• Merchandising and Store Maintenance: Keep displays organized and store vibe polished.
• Store Support and Operations: Lead by example, mentor teammates, and assist with opening/closing duties as needed.

• Product Knowledge: Maintain expert-level knowledge of our gear, from the latest guitars to cutting-edge recording equipment, and help enhance the knowledge of others.
• Customer Relationship Building: Grow your fanbase! Maintain strong relationships and help fellow Associates foster them. Help your team be the go-to in the local music community.
• Merchandising and Store Maintenance: Keep the store looking as cool as your favorite album cover. Organize displays, restock shelves, and maintain that music store vibe.
• Store Support and Operations: Practice your leadership abilities by guiding and mentoring your fellow team members, supporting them through customer interactions and operational tasks. As a keyholding member of the store, you will be looked on for opening and closing the store as needed.
