Position Overview

As Operations Manager, you will lead a team responsible for receiving, stocking, merchandising, and moving merchandise to the sales floor while upholding our standards of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager and management team to achieve EBITDA, sales, and margin goals.
• Ensure proper staffing levels and manage hiring and training of operations associates.
• Assist in training associates at all levels.
• Oversee shipping and receiving of gear and related items.
• Maintain warehouse organization, stocking, and facility maintenance.
• Manage loss prevention and safety, inventory, cash, and business reporting.
• Conduct weekly signage and pricing audits, ensuring planogram compliance.
• Act as manager in charge to drive sales when necessary.
• Handle opening and closing of the store.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant retail or warehouse experience.
• Valid state driver’s license and automotive insurance.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to work in a loud environment for 5‑8 hours.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Associate’s Degree.
• Understanding of Guitar Center retail systems and processes.
