Job summary

Guitar Center in Selden, NY is seeking a Lessons Lead to ensure a great experience for customers and students by selling lesson and rehearsal packages and guiding tours of the Lessons facility.

You will lead by example, mentor others, drive sales, and coordinate instructor schedules, while maintaining curriculum sales and ensuring smooth operations of the lesson spaces.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant work experience in musical instruction (admin, retail non-instruction, etc.)
• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.
• Intermediate proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Provide a great customer and student experience by selling lesson and rehearsal packages and guiding tours of the Lessons facility.
• Lead by example, mentor others, and provide feedback to ensure goals are met across a geographically dispersed team.
• Increase the student count within the lesson program by driving and maintaining sales and promotional programs.
• Sell rehearsal space to customers and coordinate use of facilities.
• Communicate with parents and students to ensure a positive experience.
• Guide instructors and manage their schedules (teaching and non-teaching) and coordinate lesson availability.
• Maintain and grow curriculum sales and ensure lesson systems are functioning properly.
• Maintain the lesson and rehearsal schedules for the facility.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Pay Rate: $18.69/hr - $25.63/hr depending on background and experience.

This position is eligible to participate in the Guitar Center Company bonus program based on Company performance.

As our Lessons Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring a great experience for all customers and students, by selling lesson and rehearsal packages, assisting customers with questions, and providing tours of the Lessons facility.
