GC AI is seeking a stellar Member of Technical Staff, Applied AI to shape the future of our legal AI platform. You’ll be the technical cornerstone of our AI initiatives, partnering with our CTO and founding data engineer to architect systems pushing LLM capabilities in the legal domain.

With 5+ years in software engineering and 2+ years in AI, you’ll lead production AI efforts, craft scalable architectures, and mentor engineers while advancing the state of the art in AI tooling and frameworks.

About The Role

We're seeking an exceptional Member of Technical Staff, Applied AI to help lead the development of our cutting-edge AI platform. This is a unique opportunity to shape how artificial intelligence transforms legal work. You'll be the technical cornerstone of our AI initiatives, working directly with our CTO (ex-Replit) and founding data engineer (ex-Lyft, Instagram and Plaid) to architect systems that push the boundaries of what's possible with LLMs in the legal domain.

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years focused on AI systems.

• Strong track record of building production AI systems at scale.
• Experience with modern AI frameworks and tools.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor engineers.Strong foundation in TypeScript and modern software architecture.

• Experience with RAG systems and LLM evaluation.
• Familiarity with legal domain or legal text processing.
• Track record of technical publications or open-source contributions.
