Job summary

Solerity seeks a Functional and Training Specialist to support USTRANSCOM GATES surface/water program. You will design test plans, craft scenarios, and perform functional testing across systems, while contributing to training materials and delivery for diverse formats.

The role requires a strong IT/testing background, a secret clearance, and the ability to work in a mixed onsite/remote environment within the US federal context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science.
• Bachelor's degree (any field) + one of the certifications: CCSP, SecurityX, CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, FITSP-O, GICSP, SSCP.
• 5 years' experience in developing software test plans and ensuring software meets functional requirements.
• Minimum Security Clearance: Secret.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive software test plans for GATES testing.
• Develop test scenarios linked to standard datasets to simulate real-world data.
• Perform GATES testing roles to validate system functionality.
• Conduct regression testing to ensure code changes don’t impact operations.
• Assist with GATES training kits maintenance.
• Support training across virtual, computer-based and in-person formats.
• Help develop course material and instruct GATES handheld terminal training.
• Create virtual and computer-based training materials.
• Prepare After-Action Reports after events.
• Set up classroom and audio-visual equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Program Manager.
