Job summary

Gate Options is seeking an experienced Gate Technician to diagnose, install, and service commercial and residential automated gate systems throughout Northern Illinois. You will handle swing, slide, and barrier gates, repair electrical and mechanical issues, and perform welding as needed.

Responsibilities include documenting service visits, communicating with customers, and representing the company professionally.

Qualifications

• 2 years of automated gate experience preferred.
• Ability to diagnose and repair commercial and residential gate systems.
• Experience installing and programming gate operators.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Comfortable reading wiring diagrams and using a multimeter.
• Valid driver's license with clean record and ability to lift 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair automated gate systems for commercial and residential sites.
• Install and service swing, slide, barrier gate systems and access controls.
• Repair electrical and mechanical failures and replace components.
• Perform welding and light fabrication as needed.
• Document service visits with photos and notes and communicate with customers.
• Represent Gate Options professionally with customers.
