Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring gate officers for the Pomona Fairplex. This role offers part-time, full-time and flex schedules with weekly pay. Officers will man Gate 1 for access control and conduct facility patrols, responding to calls for assistance including medical and maintenance requests.

Requirements include being 18+, holding a valid guard card/license, and a clean driving record. Preferred are First Aid/CPR/AED; camera/alarm monitoring and other security duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma (or equivalent).
• Guard card/license as required by state.
• Background check and post-offer/pre-employment drug testing may be required.
• Ability to operate a vehicle safely and maintain a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Control access at venues and direct entry traffic.
• Protect guests, staff and assets at checkpoints.
• Respond to crowd control issues and escort unruly guests when needed.
• Understand venue policies and event procedures.

Previous Security or Military Experience is a plus!

Allied Universal is looking to hire full time, part time and flex Gate officers for the Pomona Fairplex. Gate officers will perform two duties during their shift, one officer will man Gate 1 providing access control and second officer will conduct patrols of the entire facility. The 75 unit will respond to all calls for assistance to include medical calls, facility access and maintenance.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Allows appropriate entry into each venue, directs traffic coming in and out of the venue.
• Protects guests, staff, and venue ownership group assets by watching for security breaches at vital checkpoints.
• Responds quickly to potential crowd control issues and provides escorts for unruly guests when ejections are warranted.
• Demonstrates an understanding of the policies, procedures and regulations of different venues, facilities and events.
• Initiates a genuine, friendly and personal greetings to our guests as they arrive at your facility entrance, aisle, concourse area or other location and a sincere thanks as you complete your encounter with each guests.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma (or equivalent).
• Valid guard card/license, as required in the state for which you are applying.

• Ability to safely operate and drive a vehicle
• Be professional, articulate and able to use good independent judgment and discretion.
