Job summary

ConGlobal Industries LLC is seeking a Gate Inspector for our Seattle facility to safeguard the entry and exit of vehicles and personnel. You will log inspections, coordinate with drivers and yard staff, and support daily operations to keep the intermodal facility running safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in depot operations, container inspection, or intermodal equipment maintenance.
• Strong working knowledge of IICL inspection criteria and repair coding.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to use handheld devices.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physical tasks (standing, walking, lifting, etc.).
• Must pass a pre-employment background verification, physical and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Control facility access for vehicles and personnel, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
• Communicate with drivers, team members, and terminal personnel to coordinate safe and efficient movement.

• Identify and report any damages, hazards, or safety concerns.
• Develop accurate repair estimates following IICL guidelines.
• Document all required repairs, materials, and labor hours using industry-standard software or depot management systems.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IICL rules, repair codes, and current market pricing for parts and labor.
• Ensure estimates are completed in a timely manner while maintaining accuracy, transparency, and compliance.

Status: Full-Time | Immediate Hire

Schedule: 8:00AM - 4:30PM | Monday - Friday

As a Gate Inspector, you’ll be the first line of defense in maintaining safety and efficiency at our intermodal facility. You’ll be responsible for inspecting all inbound and outbound units using a computer system and/or handheld device, ensuring only authorized equipment and personnel enter or exit the premises. Your role is critical in supporting on-site logistics and keeping ConGlobal’s operations running smoothly and securely.
