Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Gate Inspector to ensure every tank leaving the facility is defect-free, correctly identified, and properly documented. You will perform walk-around inspections, compare tank numbers to work orders, and serve as the final quality control step before transport to customers.

This role requires a high school diploma, strong attention to detail, and experience in trucking or intermodal transportation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong attention to detail to perform high-quality inspections.
• Experience in the trucking and/or intermodal transportation industry.
• Basic computer knowledge (G-Suite knowledge preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tanks entering and exiting the facility to note defects and damages for liability purposes.
• Ensure the correct tanks are leaving the facility for transport and perform final QA before delivery.
• Conduct walk-around inspections of tanks as they leave the facility to identify any defects.
• Compare tank numbers on customer work orders to actual tank numbers before delivery.
• Act as the last step in quality control and assist with other duties as assigned.

Role Overview

The Gate Inspector will inspect each and every tank that leaves the facility for defects, damages, placards, and making sure the correct tank is leaving the facility.

Position Responsibilities

• Checking tanks as they are transported into and out of the facility to ensure that all defects and damages are noted for liability purposes
• Ensure that the correct tanks are leaving the facility for transport, and to serve as a last quality control check prior to transport to the customer
• Conduct walk-around inspections of tanks as they leave the facility to determine any defects or damages before the tank is delivered to the customer
• Compares the tank numbers on customer work orders to the actual tank numbers to ensure that the correct tank is being delivered
• Acts as the last step in the quality control process and will handle other duties as assigned
