The Parking Hut Attendant is part of the Ticketing & Sales Office team. Exceptional customer service and outstanding patron experience are part of the team’s responsibilities. The entrances to the grounds at Chautauqua Institution are staffed by Gate Attendants who scan credentials for entry/exit, greet patrons, and provide directions and information. Gates are typically staffed daily from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., with hours varying based on business needs. The attendant may stand for 2-4 hours during peak periods and will be exposed to environmental conditions such as weather, sun, wind, and humidity.
Compensation
Starting at $15.50/hour, with potential to earn up to $16.50/hour based on experience and qualifications.
Work Responsibilities
Referral Program
Employees can earn a $500 referral bonus (less taxes) for referring a new hire who remains employed for at least 90 days (or 30 days for seasonal positions under six months). The bonus is paid after the new hire's qualifying period.
Work Schedule
Flexible seasonal schedules are available, typically including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Shifts generally range from 4 to 8 hours, starting between 6:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., totaling 20-35 hours per week. Final schedules are confirmed during the interview process.
Housing
Limited on-ground housing may be available or assistance provided for nearby accommodations. Candidates should expect that housing is not guaranteed and may incur costs.
