Job Overview

Per Mar Security is seeking qualified candidates for gate Security Officers in a home improvement store setting. Ideal candidates will be comfortable working independently, detail-oriented, and possess basic technology skills, including operating a tablet.

Schedule and Pay

• M-F: $18.50/hr
• Sat-Sun: $19.50/hr

Responsibilities

• Attend gate and control access for customers entering and exiting the back lot of the facility.
• Verify the accuracy of orders picked up as customers leave.
• Thoroughly examine vehicles entering the premises and note existing items within vehicles.
• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Walk the yard twice per shift to report suspicious activities or criminal acts.
• Address individuals engaging in suspicious or criminal behavior.
• Request emergency personnel in high-risk situations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Technical training or college education in a related field (preferred).
• Previous experience as a security officer (preferred).
