Job Skills / Requirements

Per Mar Security is looking for qualified candidates for gate Security Officers in a home improvement store setting. The best candidates will be comfortable working independently. You are detail oriented and will have basic technology skills including the ability to operate a tablet.

Pay Rates:

  • M-F: $18.50/HR
  • SAT-SUN: $19.50/HR
Responsibilities
  1. Attend gate and provide access control for customers coming in and out of the back lot of the facility.
  2. Check accuracy of orders picked up as customers leave the facility.
  3. Thoroughly examine vehicles as they enter the premises and make note of existing items within vehicles.
  4. Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
  5. Twice per shift, walk the yard and report any suspicious activities or criminal acts.
  6. Address persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
  7. Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • State Security Officer License.
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Technical training or college education in the related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience as a security officer (preferred).
  • Must possess the values important to Per Mar Security – Integrity, Communication, Excellent Service, and Accountability.
