Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking gate Security Officers for a home improvement store setting. You will manage customer flow at the gate, verify orders, and inspect vehicles entering the yard while maintaining a vigilant presence to prevent theft.

You’ll work independently, with a focus on accuracy, courtesy, and safety. A state license is required alongside a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• State Security Officer License.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Technical training or college education in the related field (preferred).
• Previous experience as a security officer (preferred). Attendance / Punctuality are a must.
• Must possess the values important to Per Mar Security – Integrity, Communication, Excellent Service, and Accountability.

Responsibilities

• Attend gate and provide access control for customers coming in and out of the back lot of the facility
• Check accuracy of orders picked up as customers leave the facility
• Thoroughly examine vehicles as they enter the premises and make note of existing items within vehicles
• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
• Twice per shift, walk the yard and report any suspicious activities or criminal acts
• Address persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations

Job Skills / Requirements

Per Mar Security is looking for qualified candidates for gate Security Officers in a home improvement store setting. The best candidates will be comfortable working independently. You are detail oriented and will have basic technology skills including the ability to operate a tablet. M-F: 6am - 2pm.
