Job summary

Florida Security Concepts, a Clermont‑based gate, access control and security camera company, seeks an on‑site Field Technician to diagnose, repair, install, and maintain gate operators and access control systems across Central Florida.

You will service slide and swing gates, call boxes, card readers, and CCTV equipment, while staying aware of safety and outdoor conditions in Florida weather. Training provided and room to grow.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with gate operators, access control, or low‑voltage systems.
• Solid understanding of low‑voltage wiring, basic AC power, and troubleshooting.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair slide, swing, barrier arm, and vertical lift gate operators.
• Service and install access control: call boxes, keypad readers, and video intercoms.
• Install and service vehicle detection loops, safety sensors, and cameras.
• Perform preventive maintenance visits and document work clearly.
• Participate in after-hours emergency service rotation.
• Represent FSC professionally with managers, HOA boards, and site staff.

Florida Security Concepts (FSC) is a Clermont-based gate, access control, and security camera company serving HOAs, gated communities, self-storage, multifamily, and commercial properties across Central Florida. We repair, maintain, and install the entries property managers depend on every day, and we're growing.

The role

You’ll be the technician our customers count on when a gate is down or an entry needs to be done right. You’ll diagnose and repair gate operators and access control systems, install new equipment, and keep maintenance‑plan customers running smoothly across Lake, Orange, Osceola, Polk, and surrounding counties.

What you’ll do

• Troubleshoot and repair slide, swing, barrier arm, and vertical lift gate operators
• Service and install access control: call boxes, telephone entry, keypads, card and fob readers, and video intercoms
• Install and service vehicle detection loops, safety sensors, and photo eyesInstall and service security cameras and video surveillance systems
• Perform preventive maintenance visits and document work clearly
• Take part in an after‑hours emergency service rotation
• Represent FSC professionally with property managers, HOA boards, and site staff

What we’re looking for

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience with gate operators, access control, or low‑voltage systems
• Solid understanding of low‑voltage wiring, basic AC power, and troubleshooting
• Experience with brands like LiftMaster, DoorKing, CellGate, or similar is a strong plus
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Comfortable working outdoors in Florida weather and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Reliable, self‑directed, and proud of clean, finished work

Nice to have

• Florida low‑voltage or alarm system contractor certification
• Garage door, automatic door, or fence/gate installation background
• Camera/CCTV and network basics
