Job summary

Tuscan Surgery Center at Las Colinas is hiring a GI Technician to assist the endoscopy team and support patient care. You will prep and move patients, assist in cleaning patient care areas, and help maintain inventory and supplies in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• One year GI experience preferred
• Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories
• Patient interviewing skills
• Ability to perform standard clinical procedures according to established protocols
• Knowledge of patient evaluation procedures
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
• Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation.

Responsibilities

• Assists endoscopy team with patients who are having procedures at the facility.
• Assists in preparing and moving patients, and in cleaning of the patient care areas.
• Maintains and tracks inventory according to facility procedures
