Manages the administrative and clinical duties of the Gastro-Intestinal procedure room and assists physicians in all types of endoscopic procedures, G.I. function diagnostic tests and post-procedure patient care (recovery, observation). Ensures quality, efficiency and safety in the performance of technical work, the immediate post-procedure care of patients and in the proper handling of supplies and equipment.
High school diploma or equivalent experience is required. Previous endoscopy experience is preferred. Previous hospital experience or experience as a military hospital tech (orderly) and/or nursing assistant is preferred. Must have a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card.
