Job summary

The University of Chicago’s Department of Pathology invites applications for full-time Gastrointestinal Pathologists at any rank. Appointees will participate on the GI pathology service and contribute to the frozen section service and autopsy service.

Participation on Molecular Pathology or Cytopathology services may be accommodated for fellowship training. The appointees will also be involved in teaching and supervision of residents, GI pathology fellows, and medical students, with

Qualifications

• MD degree or equivalent required.
• Board certification or eligibility in Anatomic Pathology required.
• Hold or be eligible to hold a medical license in Illinois and Indiana.

Job description

The University of Chicago's Department of Pathology invites applications for full-time Gastrointestinal Pathologists at any rank. Appointees will participate on the gastrointestinal pathology service and contribute to the frozen section service and autopsy service. Participation on the Molecular Pathology or Cytopathology services may also be accommodated for candidates with fellowship training in either of these two areas. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of residents, GI pathology fellows, and medical students. Opportunities for translational research are available. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.
