Job summary

Healthcare United seeks a Board Eligible or Board Certified Gastroenterologist to join a Southern Connecticut GI practice in a busy, collaborative environment. The physician will provide outpatient visits, endoscopic procedures, and ongoing digestive health management.

Responsibilities include endoscopy, consultative services, and teamwork with primary care and specialists. A Connecticut license and strong patient-care skills are required for a full-time employed position.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in gastroenterology.
• Active Connecticut medical license or eligibility.
• Strong endoscopy and colonoscopy skills.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative employed practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive gastroenterology care.
• Evaluate and manage patients with digestive health conditions.
• Perform endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopy and upper endoscopy.
• Participate in consultative GI services as needed.
• Develop individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with primary care physicians, specialists, APPs, and clinical staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation.
• Support continued growth of the GI service line.
