Job Overview

The VA Portland Healthcare System (VAPORHCS) in Portland, Oregon, is actively recruiting a Gastroenterologist to care for our Nation’s Veterans. This position offers the opportunity to join a team of accomplished gastroenterologists, hepatologists, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Our faculty are dedicated to education and research, covering topics like advanced liver disease and colorectal cancer prevention, and providing a wide range of clinical services including general and interventional endoscopy.

Position Details

The candidate will be appointed as a full-time faculty at Oregon Health Sciences University, at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank, based on experience. The VAPORHCS is a high-complexity, referral-level facility serving over 95,000 Veterans across a large geographic area, with a strong emphasis on research and collaboration with OHSU.

Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizen (permanent residents may be considered if no qualified citizen is available)
  • Full, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the U.S.
  • Board Eligible or Certified in Gastroenterology (or foreign equivalent)
  • Medical Degree (or foreign equivalent)
