Responsibilities

• The Physician Assistant is a licensed professional provider working under the supervision of collaborating physicians or the Medical Director for the Hospitalist program. They provide direct, comprehensive, preventative, and therapeutic healthcare to patients and families, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, prescription, counseling, and instruction in compliance with Provider Protocols and all regulations governing PAs.
• The Physician Assistant will serve as a clinical resource to direct-care nurses within the Gastro Group, promoting nursing knowledge and evidence-based practice.
• The PA may provide healthcare for which they are qualified educationally and competently. Responsible for all aspects of the Hospitalist program's coordination, including fiscal accountability, time, and resources. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current PA licensure in Arkansas.
• Documentation of satisfactory completion of a PA educational program and preceptorship.
• Acute Care certification preferred.
• Eligibility for a Medicare provider number and DEA registration.
• Experience in provider-patient care.

Pay Range

$56.12-$70.14 per hour.
