Locums - West Jordan, Utah, Gastroenterology Opening

Clinical Role:

Schedule/Availability Requirements:

• June 3 (7a) - June 6 (7a) OR June 9 (7a) - June 12 (7a)
• July 11 (7a) - July 13 (7a) OR July 20 (7a) - July 22 (7a)
• Sept 1 (7a) - Sept 6 (7a) or Sept 8 (7a) - Sept 13 (7a)
• Any 7-day stretch in October

Ongoing dates will begin in January 2026.

Coverage Details:

• 24-hour call coverage - 7a to 7a
• Seeking a gastroenterologist to provide 24-hour call coverage at two sites concurrently
• Total of 7 shifts per month among all locums

Setting and Duties:

• Outpatient, Call, Inpatient
• Trauma Level III
• Procedures: EGD, Colonoscopy, PEG Tube Placements, Double Balloon Enteroscopy/Push Enteroscopy

EMR and Support Staff:

• EMR: EPIC
• Support Staff: MA, RN, Echo Tech, Lab Tech, Nuclear Tech, X-ray Tech

Reason for Coverage: Gaps in coverage.

EMR Training Requirements:

• Complete Module & EUPA test before virtual EMR training
• Schedule virtual EMR training at least one week prior to start date

Additional Information:

• Anesthesia support in OR
• 4-5 procedures per on-call shift, mainly EGD and colonoscopies
• Procedure durations vary from 30 minutes to 2 hours

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Active Utah license (highly preferred)
• Active BLS and DEA (required)
• Gastro Fellowship (required)
• Clean malpractice and background (highly preferred and required respectively)
