Schedule: Monday - Friday 8a-5p

Details:

• Opening for a Gastroenterologist at an Outpatient Clinic and GI procedure lab in Illinois.
• Outpatient Colonoscopy and EGD. GI Hospitalist will do inpatient procedures. ERCP and EUS skills would be great but not required
• Full time candidate preferred due to shortage of Ambulatory and Endoscopy coverage.
• Locums provider must be BC or BE in Gastroenterology, ACLS, BLS, and moderate sedation.
• Schedule is Monday - Friday, 8a-5p, 730a start for MAC blocks.
• OT pay available for patient care after 5pm
• No call requirements
• Clinic is closed on major holidays.
• Level 1 Trauma Center
• EMR is EPIC
• 100% Adult, Geriatrics, Mixed Payer
• Cases per Day: 40% Clinic w/ 30 minute consult intervals and 15-30 min returns. 60% GI procedure lab with length of scheduled procedure based on average of last 30 cases.
• Sedation is procedure sedation or MAC based on criteria Separate MAC blocks for patients that meet MAC criteria.
• Support Staff: 6 FT and 2 PT Ambulator APPs in clinic, RN and CMA/MA in clinic, RN and Surg tech in procedures.
• Credentials: Active IL Medical License, BC or BE in Gastroenterology, DEA & CS licenses, ACLS, BLS
