Job description

Location: Sylva NC Western NC

Opportunity: Locums GI coverage

We are experiencing shortages in our GI coverage. This has created some difficulty in keeping patients in the hospital with GI needs.

In an effort to supplement our local practice, we would like to start with locums coverage each week from Friday through Sunday. To start, the locums provider would be on call for the full time that they are on shift. Fridays would also include screening procedures to assist with a backlog.

This service could grow to a more full time program as needed. Full time program could also include some outpatient clinic time.

The Friday procedures would be the "bread and butter" GI procedures (ie. colonoscopies, scopes, etc)., primarily outpatient though they are completed in the hospital OR suite. Anesthesia support is available.

ERCP will be required for GI locums.
