Job description

Specialty: Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Start date: ASAP

End date: Ongoing

Coverage type: Scheduled Clinic Hours + Call

Schedule: A completed Covid vaccination card is now a required bid document for provider consideration for locum work.

We need a provider capable of performing ERCP and/or EUS procedures.

Responsibilities include clinic duties and procedures.

Over a 2-week schedule, providers will be added to endoscopy procedures (screening colonoscopies) on 7 weekdays (full-day blocks):

1. Week 1: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri
2. Week 2: Wed, Thurs, Fri

Average of 14-20 endoscopies per full-day block.

Specific coverage dates:

• Regular outpatient scope: Mon-Fri, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Hospital inpatient call week (rotation with physicians): Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Weekend call (rotation): Friday 5:00 PM - Monday 7:00 AM
• Approximately 2 overnight calls (non-call weeks): 5:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Credentialing requirements include completing referral and privilege forms at regional facilities (Aurora, Cassville, Lebanon, Mount View, Springfield) during the credentialing process.
