Job Opportunity: Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology Physician

Join a dedicated team at a bustling healthcare facility located in Richlands, Virginia. This practice offers both outpatient and inpatient settings and is currently seeking a skilled physician to contribute to their Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology department. The facility provides a supportive environment and is equipped with advanced EMR systems, ensuring efficient patient management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform procedures in the Endoscopy Suite on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
• Conduct patient consultations in the office on Tuesdays.
• Split Thursdays between office visits and procedures in the Endoscopy Suite.
• Manage night call responsibilities with a required response time of 30 minutes.
• Handle approximately 25 patient encounters per shift.
• Maintain accurate patient records in Athena and Meditech.
• Supervise and collaborate with other healthcare providers as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Must be board eligible in Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology.
• Active medical license in the state of Virginia or eligibility for temporary privileges.
• No prior board certification required for application.
• Experience in outpatient and inpatient settings preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active provider medical license in Virginia (temporary privileges available).
• No board certification required; board eligible preferred.
