Job Title: Gastroenterologist

Compensation: Starting at $575,000 annually

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gastroenterologist to join our growing practice in Port Arthur, TX. This position offers a competitive salary, a supportive work environment, and the opportunity to make a significant impact on the health of the local community. The successful candidate will be involved in providing comprehensive care for patients with gastrointestinal disorders, including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care:

    • Provide high-quality care for patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, including but not limited to, inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, and gastrointestinal cancers.
    • Perform diagnostic procedures such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, and other gastrointestinal assessments.
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and diagnostic findings.
  • Collaboration & Communication:

    • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including primary care physicians, surgeons, and nursing staff, to ensure comprehensive patient management.
    • Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and care plans.
  • Clinical Excellence:

    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest advancements in gastroenterology and incorporate best practices into patient care.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols and standards.
  • Documentation & Compliance:

    • Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR).
    • Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations and standards to ensure compliance and optimal patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO): From an accredited institution.
  • Board Certification or Eligibility: In Gastroenterology.
  • Unrestricted Medical License: To practice in Texas or the ability to obtain one.
  • Experience: A strong background in gastrointestinal disorders and procedures.
  • Skills: Excellent diagnostic, procedural, and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach to care.
