Responsibilities

• Inpatient general gastroenterology and procedures including Bravo Capsule Endoscopy.
• Outpatient responsibilities include EGD, Colonoscopy, and managing biliary diseases.

Lee Health is seeking Gastroenterologists!

Lee Health is a non-profit organization with nearly 90 practice locations throughout Southwest Florida. We have more than 16,000 employees, 4,500 volunteers, and over 830 employed primary care and specialty care providers. Our health system includes four acute care hospitals and two specialty hospitals with a total of 1,812 beds.

Lee Physician Group has 2 positions available:

1. GI Hospitalist: Full-time physician board eligible/board certified in Internal Medicine and fellowship trained in Gastroenterology to join a busy practice of 10 physicians and 4 advanced providers. Responsibilities include inpatient general gastroenterology and procedures such as Bravo Capsule Endoscopy, EGDs, and Colonoscopies. ERCPs are preferred. The schedule is 7 days on and 7 days off, covering consults across the Lee Health system.
2. Hybrid Inpatient/Outpatient GI: Physician eligible/board certified in Internal Medicine and fellowship trained in Gastroenterology. Join a team of 4 physicians and 4 advanced providers. Responsibilities include EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, biliary diseases, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Barrett's Esophagus, Liver Biopsy, Esophageal Manometry, Bravo Capsule, and Video Capsule. The position is primarily outpatient, Monday through Friday, with a call schedule of 1-2 days per week, shared among outpatient GI physicians. Hospital inpatient consults and admissions are covered by GI Hospitalists on a 7 on/7 off rotation.
