Job description

Jefferson Health New Jersey has full-time opportunities for Gastroenterologists to join our growing GI practice in south Jersey. Our practice offers full scope GI service: inpatient consults, ER call coverage, outpatient clinics, and endoscopy at surgery centers. We provide comprehensive gastrointestinal healthcare, including advanced diagnostics and endoscopic therapies. The practice promotes a patient-centric culture, individualized care, and a positive work environment for physicians and staff.

1. The practice currently includes five physicians practicing general and advanced gastroenterology, each with a specialized interest.
2. The position involves a mix of inpatient and outpatient work.
3. Physicians participate in a call coverage pool of 1:6.
4. Work with GI fellows and trainees.
5. Academic appointment at Sydney Kimmel College of Medicine.

Endoscopy centers are located at Washington Township, Stratford, Cherry Hill hospitals, and five other sites. The division is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, including 190 Olympus scopes.

• MD or DO from an accredited program.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited GI fellowship.
• Board certified or eligible in IM and GI.
• Appropriate licenses and certifications.

COVID vaccination is required for employment at Jefferson for those working at Jefferson's clinical entities or at the university. Unvaccinated candidates must receive the vaccine before the hire date unless they have an approved medical or religious exemption.

The new Silvestri Tower at Jefferson Washington Township Hospital features all-private patient rooms and is part of a three-year, $222 million campus revitalization.

The new facilities include a modern patient pavilion with a new entrance, a two-story lobby, state-of-the-art kitchen, dining options, outdoor terrace, rooftop helistop, and additional amenities.
