Job Opportunity: Physician in Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Join a dedicated healthcare team at a well-respected facility located in Chambersburg, PA. The practice operates within the Digestive Health center, focusing on providing high-quality consulting services with no admissions or discharges. With a capacity of approximately 250 beds, including 24 ICU beds, this facility is equipped to support a progressive gastroenterology practice. On average, there are 10-12 inpatients, with a mix of both inpatient and outpatient procedures, ensuring a dynamic work environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide gastroenterology consultations for inpatients and outpatients.
• Manage an average of 5-7 new consults per day.
• Perform 3-5 inpatient procedures daily, with potential outpatient procedures as needed.
• Participate in the on-call rotation, providing coverage for hospital emergency departments.
• Collaborate with an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) during weekdays for hospital coverage.
• Maintain availability for call coverage on weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology.
• Fellowship training in Gastroenterology is preferred.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented and patient-focused environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Current and active medical license to practice in Pennsylvania.
• Board certification required; must be certified in Gastroenterology.
• Temporary privileges are available for qualified candidates.
