Job description

Specialty: MD - Gastroenterology

Start Date: 8/1/2024

Contract Length: 6+ months

Shift Details: 8a-5p. Full-time or close to FT, with some weekend/weeknight call required.

Schedule: 1-2 weeks each month, including call work.

Support Staff: RNs, CNAs, imaging staff, APPs all available on site. Hospitalist available 24/7 for admissions.

Amount of Coverage Needed per Month: 1-2 weeks.

Patients per Day: 10-15.

Procedures: Typically 9-13 procedures at Endoscopy. In-clinic consults scheduled for 45 or 60 minutes; follow-ups are 30 minutes.

EMR: Cerner.

Special Procedures: Must be able to perform ERCP and EUS. Upper and lower conscious sedation mandatory.

Skills Required: Inpatient experience required. ERCP/EUS for inpatient and outpatient preferred. Proficiency in general GI acceptable if candidate pool is limited. Most advanced cases are cancer-related, so proficiency here is preferred.
