Job description

Job Title: Locum - Physician - Gastroenterology

Facility Overview:

Join a well-respected medical center in Anderson, South Carolina, looking to expand its Gastroenterology locum pool to meet rising patient needs. The facility is known for its dedicated healthcare professionals and advanced medical technology.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Provide 24-hour coverage for gastroenterology patients in a hospital setting.
2. Perform essential procedures including colonoscopy, liver biopsy, esophageal manometry, and lower GI endoscopy.
3. Consult with an average of 16 patients per day, with opportunities for 6 consults.
4. Utilize the Epic documentation system for patient record management.
5. Work alongside a group of 4 physicians with APP support during weekdays, and solo coverage on nights and weekends.
6. Prepare and interpret diagnostic tests as required.

Qualifications:

1. Board Certified in Gastroenterology - REQUIRED
2. Active South Carolina medical license - REQUIRED (no exceptions)
3. At least several years of experience in the field with strong ratings and training.
4. ERCP experience - preferred but not required
5. Comprehensive knowledge of gastroenterology procedures and patient management.

License and Certification Requirements:

1. Board Certification in Gastroenterology.
2. Active medical license in South Carolina.
3. Background check with a preference for a clean record.
