Job summary

Valley Health Systems, Inc. seeks a compassionate Physician Assistant to join a newly launched gastroenterology practice in Amherst, MA. You will work with gastroenterologists to deliver patient-centered GI care.

You will evaluate patients, obtain histories, order tests, develop treatment plans, and educate patients. Team collaboration and strong communication are essential; GI experience preferred but motivated PAs with related backgrounds are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduate PA program completion is required.
• Massachusetts PA license or eligibility is required.
• NCCPA certification and DEA registration or eligibility are required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and established patients.
• Obtain comprehensive histories and perform physical exams.
• Diagnose and manage gastrointestinal conditions.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with physicians.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Educate patients and provide counseling.
• Manage follow-up care and coordinate referrals.
