Job summary

Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner) to join the GI team. This full-time role focuses on outpatient gastroenterology care, with no on-call requirements and a Monday–Friday schedule.

You will perform comprehensive evaluation and management of GI conditions, collaborate with physicians, and manage pre/post-endoscopy evaluations. The team supports a strong referral base, with approximately 18 patients per day and dedicated staff to

Qualifications

• NM NP license or eligibility
• 2+ years gastroenterology/endoscopy experience preferred
• Experience evaluating and managing outpatient GI conditions
• Spanish language skills preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation and management of a wide variety of GI conditions
• Perform pre- and post-procedure evaluations for endoscopy patients (EGD and colonoscopy)
• Coordinate treatment plans and follow-up care
• Collaborate closely with physicians to ensure seamless, high-quality patient care
• Outpatient-focused practice with no call responsibilities

Position Details

Memorial Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP) with great clinical and interpersonal skills to join their GI team.

Schedule & Practice Highlights

• Full-time, Monday-Friday schedule

• Dedicated administrative time built into your workweek

• No call responsibilities

• Primarily outpatient practice

• Collaborative team with experienced physicians and clinical support staff

• Average patient volume of approximately 18 patients per day

• Established clinic with a strong referral base and experienced support staff

Clinical Scope

• Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of a wide variety of gastrointestinal conditions, including:

• GERD, IBS, and functional gastrointestinal disorders
• Anemia and gastrointestinal bleeding
• Abdominal pain and altered bowel habits
• Abnormal liver function tests and chronic liver disease
• Additional responsibilities include:

• Performing pre- and post-procedure evaluations for endoscopy patients (EGD and colonoscopy)

• Coordinating treatment plans, follow-up care, and patient education
• Collaborating closely with physicians to ensure seamless, high-quality patient care

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner with active New Mexico licensure or eligibility for licensure

• Two or more years of gastroenterology, endoscopy, or related clinical experience preferred; strong candidates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply

• Comfortable evaluating and managing common outpatient gastrointestinal conditions

• Spanish language skills are preferred but not required
