Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM seeks an Orthopedic Surgery Nurse Practitioner to join Lifepoint Health. This outpatient-focused role supports orthopedic surgeons with pre- and post-operative care in a collaborative team, with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday and no on-call duties.

Qualified candidates are licensed NPs eligible for New Mexico licensure, with 2+ years in orthopedic care preferred. Spanish is a plus but not required.

• Two+ years of orthopedic or relevant clinical experience preferred.

Position Details

Join a team that brings years of experience and expertise in the scope of a general orthopedic surgery practice, including minimally invasive total joint replacement, trauma surgery, pediatrics, and sports injuries.

Practice Highlights

• Full-time, Monday - Friday schedule
• Dedicated administrative time built into your workweek
• No call responsibilities
• Outpatient-focused practice with a collaborative orthopedic team and experienced clinical support

In this role, you will:

• Perform comprehensive pre- and post-operative evaluations
• Diagnose and manage common outpatient orthopedic conditions
• Coordinate patient care, treatment plans, and follow-up visits alongside orthopedic surgeons

Practice Environment

• Average patient volume of approximately 20 patients per day
• Balanced mix of new consultations and follow-up appointments
• Established referral network with a strong, supportive clinical team
• On-site X-ray and casting services for streamlined patient care

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or eligible for New Mexico licensure
• Two+ years of orthopedic or relevant clinical experience preferred; strong candidates with related experience are encouraged to apply
