Premier Medical Group of the Hudson Valley is seeking a Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive GI and liver care in outpatient settings. You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and promote preventive care with gastroenterologists and clinic staff.

The role requires NY NP certification, an active NY RN license, and 2–5 years of clinical experience; board certification and BLS are expected, with DEA credentials as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate NP program with master's or doctoral degree in nursing.
• Current New York State RN license and NP certification; credentials in good standing.
• 2–5 years clinical experience; gastroenterology/hepatology preferred.
• National board certification for the NP role; BLS; prescribing credentials (DEA if required).
• Ability to obtain credentialing, payer enrollment, and hospital privileges.

Responsabilités

• Obtain and review histories; perform exams; assess GI symptoms and preventive needs.
• Formulate differential diagnoses and manage GI/liver conditions within scope.
• Develop, implement, and adjust care plans; monitor progress and therapy response.
• Order and interpret labs and imaging; communicate results to patients.
• Prescribe and monitor therapies; provide patient counseling and education.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-ups for continuity of care.
• Document encounters in the EMR; ensure accurate coding and billing.
