Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current Nurse Practitioner license in NJ.
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Active NJ CDS and DEA license.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Performs a physical examination based on age and history.
• Obtains a relevant health and medical history.
• Conducts preventive screening procedures based on age and history.
• Identifies medical and health risks and needs.
• Updates and records change in health status.
• Formulates therapeutic regimens and assesses patient health.
• Performs injections, immunizations, suturing and wound management.
• Provides continuity of care with patient management plans.
• Makes referrals to other health professionals and community agencies.
• Educates patients on therapy, growth and development, and wellness.
• Interprets and orders diagnostic tests and documents results.
• Maintains infection control and participates in quality assurance.

Education
