Job summary

UW Medical Center-Northwest is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join a high-volume general gastroenterology practice in Seattle. You will provide initial consultations, evaluations, and follow-up care for a broad range of GI conditions, including GERD, IBS, and GI bleeding.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate endoscopic evaluations, optimize patient preparation, and ensure timely follow-up.

Qualifications

• WA ARNP or PA licensure required.
• Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program.
• DEA prescriptive authority required.
• BLS certification.
• Experience in an interdisciplinary, collaborative team environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and consultations for GI complaints (abdominal pain, GERD, IBS, GI bleeding).
• Diagnose and manage general GI conditions and coordinate care with gastroenterologists.
• Perform pre-procedure evaluations for endoscopic sedation/anaesthesia planning.
• Interpret labs/imaging to adjust treatment plans.
• Document assessments, diagnoses and plans in the EMR.
• Coordinate endoscopic evaluations and ensure timely follow-up with referring providers.
