Job summary

University of Maryland Faculty Physician's Inc. seeks a Nurse Practitioner to provide medical leadership and clinical continuity within a collaborative healthcare team.

You will perform comprehensive histories and physicals for patients, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and establish diagnoses in partnership with physicians. Qualifications include an MSN NP, Maryland APRN license, DEA/CDS eligibility, CPR/BLS/ACLS as required, and RN experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Nursing with completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.
• Registered and currently recorded with the Maryland Board of Examiners of Nurses and Certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maryland
• Valid state APRN Recognition (must meet education requirement(s) for state recognition and obtain within six (6) months of hire)
• DEA and CDS eligible
• CPR and BLS required; ACLS or other relevant certifications as required by the department
• A minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides day to day organizational and clinical direction and leadership of the healthcare team in collaboration with the attending physician.
• Performs comprehensive history and physical assessment for patients admitted or scheduled to service.
• Orders, obtains, and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests.
• Establishes medical diagnosis based on history, assessment, and diagnostic findings with MD collaboration as needed
