Job summary

University of Maryland Faculty Physicians is looking for a qualified Nurse Practitioner to provide clinical care and ensure patient safety through effective communication within the healthcare team. Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Nursing with completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.
• Registered and currently recorded with the Maryland Board of Examiners of Nurses.
• Valid state APRN Recognition must be obtained within six months of hire.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical direction and leadership of the healthcare provider team.
• Perform comprehensive history and physical assessment for patients.
• Communicate treatment plans with patients and healthcare providers.
• Coordinate insurance authorizations, outpatient scans and procedures.
