Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification and BLS certification required.
• Proficiency with medical software and strong interpersonal skills.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card may be required for some roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians and nursing staff in patient care and direct patient support.
• Prepare patients for exams, take vital signs, document chief complaints and pain scores.
• Coordinate referrals, pre-certifications, authorizations, and scheduling.
• Maintain medical records, labs, X-rays and ensure accurate billing information.
• Maintain a clean clinical environment and manage supplies and medications as directed.
• Participate in onboarding and orientation activities; work under provider supervision.
